HOW WE WORK
In rural central-western NJ, the husband and wife team of Shannon & Marc Laul have been each other's 'Significant Otters' and creatively collaborating since they built Lego structures together on their first "date" in high school.

In rural central-western NJ, the husband and wife team of Shannon & Marc Laul have been each other's 'Significant Otters' and creatively collaborating since they built Lego structures together on their first "date" in high school.
Decades , you will find them alongside of each other in their any of their workshops. From woodworking and metalworking (including welding & blacksmithing) or in the studio designing, drawing, finishing and overall, what still feels like "playing together" with the works in progress of the moment.
Marc is the Technical Services Director at a large mechanical contractor, and Shannon is a full time artisan and part time Construction Safety Trainer and consultant.
Building and making is in their blood. With their kids grown and out, their dogs are their sidekicks. They have a passion for bringing one of kind creations to life that captures the spirit of the recipient.
A love for the nature, animals, and the planet drives their often utilitarian art, useful designs, salvaged, refurbished, and unique creations with a purpose.

No two pieces are the same. You are not a production number and we simply don't do cookie cutter projects. Part of our joy is getting to know you, your story, your hopes and your heart.
We are the makers, but it is a collaborative effort for us to capture your spirit and goals, and from that, bring a cohesive final product to life.

Every client becomes part of the fabric woven into our story, and each creation solidifies the fibers.
We meet via phone, email, zoom, or in person.
The simple things (and yes we do simple, easy, personalized things too!) are just as fun and fussed over as the intricate, complicated, or large ones. We get a sense of your needs, and then we go back to our studio to deliver ideas, budget, and timelines for your project.
